Lepchajagat
Lepchajagat is a small village located in wilderness at an altitude of 6,956 ft (i.e. 2123 meters) and only 19kms away from Darjeeling hill town. Although it’s quite close to Darjeeling’s main hub . If you are a nature lover or looking for a romantic stay for couple of days, then Lepchajagat is the place for you. I know of many who actually combine a short stay in Lepchajagat with their visits to Darjeeling just to blend the vacation with an offbeat stay amidst nature.

Mirik Lake
Mirik Lake, or Sumendu Lake, is a lake in Mirik, Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India. It is 1.25 km long. The lake has 80 ft. long arch footbridge across the lake called the Indreni Pull. Only 27 kms away from Lepchajagat.

Jore Pokhri
Jore Pokhri Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Darjeeling District, West Bengal. It is the habitat of some high-altitude animals like Himalayan Salamander, locally known as ‘Gora’. It also houses many other local animals such as the rhino, tiger, and many different birds.

Sunrise at Tiger Hill

Batasia Loop
The Batasia Loop is a spiral railway created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. At this point, the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel and over a hilltop.

Gopaldhara is one of the highest plantations in Darjeeling region. It stretches from 3500 ft to 7000 ft. Established in 1881 and has been making exquisite teas for its worldwide clientele. Manebhanjyang
Maney Bhanjyang is a small transit-town in the Darjeeling Sadar subdivision, Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal in India. It is located at the gateway of the Singalila National Park, 28 km away from Darjeeling town. The income of the local residents is geared towards tourism, especially foreign trekkers.
